This is actually the surname of a family friend, so it just sounds like a surname.

I'm not that keen on it, but all the Duncans I've known have been pleasant people and that counts for something. There are plenty of Scottish names that I like better, but the mere fact that it is Scottish is encouraging. As is the fact that it was good enough for David Bowie's son.
