[Opinions] Yvonne
WDYTO Yvonne? I know it might be a bit dated, but I love the sound of it, and kind of like that it’s rare now (in the States at least). I’ve only met one Yvonne who, yes was an older lady, but she was so sweet and patient that she left me with a positive impression of the name.
So what do you think?
Is it too dated to be used?
What mn would you use with it?
Are the any names with a similar sound or feel that might be more viable?

This name is so sleek and slinky. I've always been fond of it.

I've always loved Yvonne - both the sound and the fact that it looks really cool written out. Yvette has usually been more popular (they're both feminine forms of Yves), but even that isn't terribly common.
I'd love to see a little Yvonne!

I remember thinking this was a very old and ugly name when I was young, but I can appreciate it now. I do prefer Yvette which seems a bit brighter, but I rather like Yvonne's practical, slightly disapproving somberness now.
I think it's just dated enough to be useable again. Evonne seems a bit more youthful and trendy-looking.
Yvonne-like names (in terms of energy, for me): Donna, Darlene, Moira, Helen, Laverne, Beverly, Joyce, Joanne, Wanda, Maryvonne, Connie, Dionne, Leona, Ronnie, Winona.
