This name is actually quite handsome if I stop to think about it. This spelling particularly. I like that it might mean "cloud". That's pretty.

I dislike Neil, in general and for personal reasons, but I really like Niall, assuming it sounds like the Egyptian river. I've got enormous respect for Niall Ferguson, and was disappointed to hear his name pronounced like Neil (or of course Kneel) on TV. I don't know who Niall Horan is, so no comment there.

I can only think of One Direction. They weren't a bad band, but meh. Idk if I like the name Niall.

It seems sort of awkward to me because I'm so used to Neil (there's a couple in my family) but also because of that, it seems fancy in a fun way.

Neil seems like a bland old-fashioned name to me but likable enough: sort of like Kenneth or Alan, which would make Niall like Cinaed or Alain.
