What do you think of Tamara?
It’s a friends name, she goes by Amara, but I actually think it’s really pretty.

Tamara is one of those names that I always forget about. It's beautiful and elegant and a bit high maintenance but not overly frilly, and I like that. The most beautiful person I ever met was a Tamara. And I love Tamara de Lempicka. I also really like Tamar.
I don't pronounce Amara and Tamara the same way, that nickname would never catch on with me.

It's like Candace; very pretty and sophisticated, but the thought of Tammy is a big turnoff. Also, Tamara isn't always pronounced the same way. Most people say it so it almost sounds like tomorrow, but a few say it like Ta-MARE-a. That also is a dealbreaker.
