[Opinions] September
What are your thoughts? This names been on my mind a lot lately and I think that if I ever have a girl in September, I might use it.

All I can think of is The Californians, that SNL skit about blonde valley-girl types. They mentioned a "September" character, so I guess that goes to show what people think of when they hear that "name".
I think it's the "-ember" part that gives it that bit of airheadedness. It's a pretty word though, I love the "Sept-" beginning. I don't mind it, I'd be happy to know a September.

I dislike it. Does anyone actually like the month of September?
I love it :) It's been on my PNL for years. I think it's fun and autumnal. The only thing that gets me is nicknames... Anything Sep or Sept is unattractive to me. Ember would be nice, or Emmy, I guess...
Terrible
I'm not a big fan. It just doesn't sound like an actual name.
However, I get positive impressions from the Swedish singer.

I would use it more as a middle name. It seems sort of cheesy, imo. It's the name of a month, so idk. I mean, people name their daughters Autumn, Summer, Wynter / Winter, so...but still. Even though that those are the name of a season, it isn't tied to one particular month. September is so known for being, well...September. I don't like that it's the name of a month. "Is your birthday in September, September?" There's also the song "Wake me up when September Ends" by Green Day (nice song, btw) so that kind of turns me away. It's a sad song. It would be a hella cool middle name, though. Totally use it as a middle name.
It's beautiful. I love fall. Its more of a month than a name to me, but I would love to see this as a middle name
I guess it's no less a legitimate candidate for a name than April or June, but it doesn't have anything even remotely like the history as a name of those two, so I'd say it's not a name. And naming a kid after the month it was born in seems so lazy and random. I say this as someone who has a cousin named Holly Noelle who was born around Xmas, and as someone who has met several APrils named after their birth month. All these parents who do this kind of thing seem to think they're being so cute and clever, but they aren't.
I was born in September and have a general fondness for the month now that it doesn't mark a return to school for me. I'm still glad my mother expended a bit more thought coming up with my name than using September.
