It's pretty. I say va-LEHR-ia, not va-LEER-ia.
It sounds Russian to me (I have a Russian neighbor named it) but not excessively so.
Valerie feels dated and kitschy to me but it's OK - I like Valeria more.

I love it, though not as much as I used to; at one point it was on my Top 10. It’s still on my PNL.

I like Valerie a lot, but Valeria sounds like a disease to me. Maybe because it sounds a bit like “malaria”.

Don't really like it, much prefer Valerie

I like how dramatic it is, and I prefer it to Valerie, but I don't love it. Valeska is much better.

I was just thinking about this name the other day. I kinda like it, it seems dramatic and dark, and much more interesting than Valerie. But I don't like the inevitable nickname of Val.

I like them both.

I prefer Valerie, but I don't like it. Val is just OK as a nn; better than the full form.

Yes, I prefer Valerie.I dislike Valeria. It's okay, but I was never able to see anything beautiful or sweet about it. It just feels kind of harsh and stuck-up and too adult on a baby, toddler nad child.

I do like it, but my mind does go to malaria. I am tempted by it despite that though. Thinking on it, Valerie's quite nice too.

I like it, I've considered it before because my boyfriend has a sister named Valerie so I would consider it an on the table honoring idea if we ever became more serious. Valeria feels more fresh and crisp than Valerie which feels a little dated. I've also come across the nickname Valley for this one before and I think that is very boho chic
