Don't like it

Don't even like Blake much on a boy, let alone a girl. Sorry, but I've never seen the appeal of Blake. It's incredibly harsh - in fact it doesn't actually sound like a name to me so much as an insult: "You Blake!" Maybe its similarity to the word "break" is what gives me this impression?

No. I don’t even like it on a boy. I find it insubstantial, boring, and just kind of ugly.

I prefer it on a girl. I think it's preppy, but not obnoxiously so, and cute.

I definitely prefer Blake on a boy. It sounds very cool, and masculine. Sounds so handsome and attractive. On a girl, I like it too. I think it's equally feminine and dainty with a bit of spitfire. I prefer as a middle name on a girl. On a boy, I like it as a first or middle.
