[Opinions] Eilonwy
I really love this name and it is currently #2 on my list.
Do you think it's too complicated?
eye-lon-wee
Do you like it?
I am just a bit insecure because I read some online threads and people were basically like "the poor child, way too difficult" but I don't really think it is that hard to remember and there is the book series that is pretty well known. I also don't think it is a burden for a child or harder to explain than some popular names such as Kaitlyn, Katelyn, Caitlyn, Caitlin etc. or Adalynn or Raelynn. There are so many names that you have to spell out.
Hmm thoughts? I like Eilonwy or Lily Eilonwy.

Ngl, it's kinda cute. I like it, but I have trouble pronouncing it.
I don’t like it, I think it has an awkward sound. I didn’t know how to pronounce it the first time I saw it but after discovering the real pronunciation it has been easy to remember.
The Eilon-part is pronounced eye-LONN, not EE-lonn. The emphasis and sound are different.
It’s ok, but I don’t think the sound is particularly nice. I’d also assume there is Welsh heritage or a connection to Wales.
I think it’s pretty in theory, but too complicated to really use in the English speaking world.
I don't really like it, it's ok as a mn
I like it, but I have it on my GP list because I think it is too complicated to read or spell. I think it is way harder than the names you mentioned, but it might be okay as a middle name.
It's pretty, but it is a bit odd. I don't mean that in a disparaging way. You have to embrace its different-ness rather than worrying about it. It won't be any more difficult for a child to spell than any other name.
Lily Eilonwy is really pretty - it's hard to make a nice combo where both names end in that long ee sound, but this one works. Lillian "Lily" Eilonwy would be pretty too.
Have you thought about how you'd combo it as a first name?

Eilonwy Rose always come to mind. But it is pretty boring. I feel that it needs a simply middle name. Maybe I'll just do Lily Eilonwy and use the middle name.
Elsa is a family name for me and I'd like to use a form of it but it never fits with my favorites. Eilonwy Elsie is not really working.
Maybe Eilonwy Maia. Eilonwy Annabel. But they are all not that good.

Eilonwy Rose is very pretty. :)
That's totally fine and not boring at all! Roses are legitimately nice and Eilonwy Rose is pretty.
Thanks! Yes, I love the scent of them.
