[Opinions] Petunia
This is a weird name I surprisingly love. I love the flower. I do hear that it's a character from Harry Potter, but I never really got into it tho. I associated with Petunia Rhubarb from VeggieTales as a child. I like it much better as a middle name. I would never use it as a first name tho. Is it too weird?

I immediately think of the Harry Potter character and even though she was better in the end she wasn't the best character.
I still think it's usable but it sounds really prim and proper for some reason. I also dislike the nickname Pet.

It's pretty weird. I see Petunia as a potential counterculture sort of name - you can't treat it like it's on the same wavelength as Rose or Lily. Petunia has a particular energy.
I find it has the potential to be fussy, but then I find petunias to be fussy. I think it could have an interesting sort of beatnik vibe in the right setting - comboed properly, with the right siblings, in the right family. Then it would be less like Pansy and Violet and more like Clover and Cherry.
I far prefer Petula; that one is just pure beatnik, no trying required.

Way too weird for me, but I'm not really a fan of floral names in general, especially if they have awkward nns or none at all. And Pet as a nn is undignified!
Don't really like it
Petunia is my OG GP name lol It's like cotton candy to me: ik it's crap & bad for my health but it's just so spunky, brightly colored and fun XD
I'd never be bold enough to use it on a child but do plan on using it on a cat or dog at some point in my lifetime for sure.

It's a gross name. I don't even like the flower very much. Not only is it Harry Potter's obnoxious aunt, it's also a cartoon pig.
