[Opinions] What can Norah or Nora be a nickname for
I love the name Norah or Nora but then when I mention it I am asked what's it short for?
I know Honora and Lenora and Elinorah and even Sonora. I am honestly thinking of making her name a longer name and just calling her Norah or Nora.
Any other suggestions?

I'd never ask what Nora was short for. I definitely see it as a full name. I've met Nora's that aren't short for anything, but I've never met someone who goes by Nora as a short-form. Annora
Eleanora
Noralee
Noralyn
Norina
Norma
Normina
Nymphadora

I think Nora/Norah is established as a standalone name by now. If you want a long form Eleonora is the most obvious choice.

I actually think of Nora/Norah mostly as a stand alone name. I know it can be a nickname for a whole set of longer names. But if someone said their name was Nora, I would definitely not assume it was short for something else. And if I planned to call a daughter Nora, that's what I'd name her.

I love Annora best of the Nora names
