I'm sorry but it's one of my least favorite names ever and I can't understand why it's getting popular.
It sounds so dated and makes me think of an older, greasy guy with a bad personality. On a girl it's terrible.
Stephanie and Stephen are fine, I just can't get behind Steve and Stevie - especially on a girl.
Evie is much better or even better Eve or Eva.
Stevie sounds so slimy and dirty (in a grubby way) I think of gas stations and oil and grease.
