I love the name Dominique. Some people think it sounds trashy or porn starish though. What's your personal take on this name?

I love it for both boys and girls. It's just a pretty normal French name to me.

I like Dominique for a girl (and Dominic for a boy). I have no idea what names porn stars have. To me, Dominique sounds French, maybe this is the same as porn to some people.
I also like Veronique and Monique.

I don't think that Dominique sounds "trashy"; in fact, I think it is a nice name (for either gender).

I love it - for both genders, actually. I think it's very classy, elegant, and sophistocated. I don't get where that porn star association comes from, though. Maybe people think it sounds like "dominatrix" or something...

I think it's the 'que' ending that some people consider trashy because it's a more common suffix in many names that are more popular in the inner city.

Hah. That's an ignorant association for some people to have. 'Que' ending is more French imo than anything else.
