[Facts] What does Athanasius mean??
I'm so confused. I cant tell if it means dying or immortal.

You can see the Athanasius page. 'A' is a negative prefix, while the 'thanasius' part came from the root 'thanatos', which means death; so overall, it means immortal.
Consequently, Athanasius means “the one who resurges”.
I can't find source that mentioned this. Do you mean Anastasius instead?
Is resurging the same as resurrecting, or being resurrected? Presumably it should be, but that has nothing to do with the absence of death/immortality: for resurrection/resurging to take place, death must have happened first. So I don't find your translation convincing.
