[Opinions] Re: Rosemary
I've never liked this name said with a standard American accent - it has always sounded too punchy: ROH-ZMEHR-ee (two stressed syllables followed by a non-stressed syllable, like the word Archbishop). It has only ever sounded attractive to my ears when said by British (mainly English) people: ROHZ-muh-ree. It sounds more like a name to me that way.I prefer Rosemarie to Rosemary by far for this reason (and my great-grandmother's name was Rose Marie), but there are other Rose- names I like much more.***Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381
