[Opinions] Wendy
I love the name Wendy, but does remind you too much of the fast food restaurant? Some of my favorite bearers are Wendy from Gravity Falls and Wendy from Peter Pan. What are your opinions on the name Wendy? Personally, it's my favorite W name for a girl. Besides, since my name is William, it would fit for a future daughter.

I think Wendy is a lovely name and being from UK not familiar with the fast food restaurant.
Think its underused name. Its lovely.

Definitely not my style. Bit babyish in my view and a horrid Wendy bullied me in my first year of high school... I prefer Gwenda but Gwendolen best of all.

I like Wendy. It's been around a while but it doesn't sound dated. I can easily see it on someone old ('Aunt Wendy' sounds very natural), or a little kid or a teenager or pretty much any age.
I think of Peter Pan, not the fast food restaurant. It fits with a wide range of middle names too. It sounds nice with 'boring' middle names and some longer fun ones:
Wendy Rose
Wendy Rosaline
Wendy Emilia
Wendy Hannah
Wendy Marie
Wendy Carmina
Wendy Lucretia
Wendy Amelia
Wendy Adelaide
Wendy Victoria
Wendy Viola
Wendy Jane
Wendy Florence
Wendy Dorothea
Wendy Jennifer
Wendy Amalia
Wendy Adele
Wendy Adeline

I've never met a Wendy I didn't like. And we don't have Wendy's restaurants where I live, so I'm free to enjoy it.

I grew up with a girl named Wendy, and knew her before I knew what the restaurant was, so the connection between them is pretty tenuous for me (I think of The Shining first). She was an awful girl, but luckily she didn't ruin the name for me. Wendy is cute and retro and makes me think of a friendly witch. Personally I prefer it as a nickname for a longer name, like Wendoline, Winifred, or Gwendolen, but just-Wendy is still pretty cute.
