Kind of confused as to why it has such a low rating - it's not exactly the worst name ever.

I think it's because it's missing one of the Rs, people on this site can be kind of sticklers for traditional spellings and Harris seems more "whole"

Not the worst, I guess. But I don't love it. It does look like a misspelling of Harris, which I only like on males. Apparently Haris is gender neutral? I do like Charis for girls and Harris for boys. I don't see a need for Haris.

I never realized it was also a female name and a version of Charis, this name seems more interesting to me now. I wonder if it gets a low rating because people think it's just a misspelling of Harris.
