I like it a lot. The meaning is also cool.

I chose it as my name on this board years ago. I like it, it is a character in a book called “The Iron Butterfly” by Chanda Hahn. I don’t think I’d read it before I chose the name but it reinforces my liking. I pronounce it ta-LEE-ya and have never met one in real life. Probably wouldn’t use it due to pronunciation issues but love the name.

I like it, but I think the only pronunciation I like (soft "th") is wrong.

I like Ta-LEE-ya most. I also love that it's well known but not too common.

Thalia relentlessly confuses me. I am never certain how to say it: TAH-lee-ə? THAHL-yah? THAY-lee-ə? thə-LIE-ə?I'm not even certain how OP is pronouncing the name.So I can't even definitively say whether I like the name, because I don't know the name, truly. It's the frustrating kind of mystery. That said, I do kind of like Talia.

I've been pronouncing it wrong (THAL-lee-uh), but still don't really care for it.

It looks pretty and has a nice etymology and meaning. It would be on my list if there weren't all of those pronunciation issues.I like TAH-lee-ah or TAHL-ya but I have heard it as THA-lee-ah, THAL-yah, tha-LEE-ah, tha-LIE-ah etc. etc. and it is so confusing. I also don't even know what the original pronunciation was supposed to be.The Hebrew Talya (TAHL-ya) is easier but could be confused with Tayla. So in general nice names but not really practical.
