Damani is actually Zulu and Swahili for “service”. It’s also Igbo and Somali for opportunity.
I ran into the same issue where sites were saying it means “thoughtful” but I couldn’t believe that since none of them could specify which African language the meaning comes from. So there we go, it is African (Zulu, Swahili, Igbo and Somalian) for service and opportunity... which I guess can be interpreted to mean thoughtfulness

It means thoughtful in African
"African" is not a language. "Afro-Rican" is not a language. According to the SIL there are 2,143 living languages used in Africa, of which over a thousand are "vigorous", and personal names often come from "dead" languages. You'll have to narrow it down quite a lot.
Damani means thoughtful or thoughtfulness in Swahili.
according to google its "precious". The example given by Glosbe is in the text translated "A good name is better than good oil…"
