Oh, that's annoying. My stepmom has a really good friend named Sahar, who's of Egyptian descent; and Sahar would get called Sarah by teachers all the time. I'd understand misreading it once, because you're used to seeing Sarah, but after that make some effort, you know?My instinct is to pronounce Saira as sie-EER-uh, like Saida / Syeda but with an R instead of a D.
