[Opinions] Grover
Does it work for you? Grover is a character in "Percy Jackson". I like the meaning.Anyone know whether Sesame Street is still popular among young kids? What do you think of the other names from the books:Percy
Annabeth

I like the names Percy and Annabeth, I don't really like the name Grover. Grover is a good character but his name isn't my style

Makes me think of the word grovelling, meh. Percy is uptight, Annabeth is great

I don't think of Sesame Street exactly, but I do think of green shag rugs (and Oscar?).
It seems very...midcentury grunge or fuzzy in an avant-garde jazz type way. It's garish and works about like Garfield / Homer / Elmer / Chester would, though possibly a little more fashionably, like Otis / Oscar / Gus / Asher.
Also, sounds like it could be unisex in a modern context (Harper, Piper, Juniper, Parker, Hunter, River, Clover, Grover).I like Grover more than Percy or Annabeth ...maybe because it seems less proper, but I don't strongly like/dislike any of them.
Percy sounds a little persnickety/parsimonious/chivalrous and Annabeth sounds conventional/happy-go-lucky.

One of the greatest pitchers ever in MLB was Grover Cleveland Alexander. I'm good with Grover.

I don't know if kids still watch Sesame Street, but I like Grover. It's push-broom mustache walrus president, but I like it. It's so ugly, it's cute.

I think Grover is pretty cool but still too connected to Sesame Street. Percy and Annabeth are both nice =)

I really like Grover and love Percy. Annabeth is also sweet, though I prefer Annegret.

I don't love it. And it's not because of either association, I actually love PJO, I just don't love the name in general. I do love Annabeth though, not so much Percy. :)

I could possibly warm up to Grover, if not for the furry monster. I like Annabeth. But I actively dislike Percy and any variations of it.

I'm not sure my family is the norm, but my kids (6 and 4) know Grover from Sesame Street. I quite like Grover and might use it if it weren't for the monster. It feels a bit old and nerdy to me, but I tend to like names that feel that way.Percy is okay. I like it more as short for Percival than for Perseus. It makes me think of the Engine from Thomas the Tank Engine though. Annabeth is saccharine. Better than Annabel, but it just takes two swedish names and smashes them together.

Grover will always remind me of the frumpy blue monster, and I don't like this name.Percy is a bad name in my opinion, it sounds close to the Girl's name Mercy. Maybe Percival?Annabeth is pretty, I like it.

Sesame Street is still very popular with kids. It keeps evolving and changing, but Grover is still a big part of the cast.
It's so heavily associated with the show for so many people and for so long I don't think it would be a great name to give a boy today. He would get awfully tired of being called lovable furry old Grover".
Percy is a cliched posh English fop name.
Annabeth is cutesy.
