Twin brothers in my local supermarket today were called Darwin and Idris. WDYT of the names separately and as a sib set?Mother to:

Which Idris - Arabic or Welsh? I'm guessing Welsh, but you never know.I like Idris a lot. Darwin is too surnamey for me, but as a sibset I enjoy them both.I knew a couple who gave one of their sons Darwin as his second mn, because of their great admiration for the scientist. When they registered the birth, the clerk asked if Darwin was part of their surname; since they have a hyphenated surname already, this rather puzzled them. Me, I don't see much difference between three given names and three (hyphenated) surnames ...

I like Darwin, don't know if I agree with the old guy but the name itself is neat. I don't like Idris, it sounds too robotic. As a sibset I think it's odd
