[Opinions] Alexia
I spoke to someone at work today, a student, and I found her name really intriguing. I'm going to space out the letters so it doesn't come up in a search, because I think it might be unique:
A L E X I A . R O M I N A
I already think the middle name has some charm, but this made me think about Alexia more. It fits in with other names I like, but I discounted it many years ago when someone - I think on this board - not only likened it to dyslexia but said that Alexia was itself the name of a disorder. (I checked the dictionary and... yep, it's in there: https://www.dictionary.com/browse/alexia?s=t)
Anyway, wdyt of Alexia?

This is one of my least favorite legitimate names. I immediately think of the neurologic disorder.

The name sounds pretty together, but I dislike Alexia on its own. It sounds kind of like a cheap knockoff Alexandra and I definitely do think of the disorder.
The combo is pretty good and I like the sound of Alexia (especially compared to Alexis-- bleah) but it definitely sounds like "can't read".
It's a speech disorder, all right. Presumably the people who give it to their children don't know that.
Alexia is not a bad name, but I feel like people would use it solely to get to the nickname "Lexi". I don't know why that annoys me but it does. I don't think of disorders when I hear it at all. I'd give Alexia 6/10, it's nice enough =)

Pretty. Romina is also very nice.
Most "Alex-" names kind of bore me, due to overuse as usual. Although I do still find Alexandra lovely, for some reason. But only in full. So I can take or leave Alexia. Romina is gorgeous, though.
Not bad. Really nice and unique actually.
