One of the cases Lizzy helped out on recently was that of a mother regarding the custody of her newborn son and his older siblings. The mother willingly gave up her rights, having struggled for years with drug and alcohol abuse. Lizzy and Charlie stepped in and adopted the newborn, promising his older siblings that they could come visit and be friends with their other kids.

Dulce Maria suggested the name Zeus for him, because his bark was deep and sounded like thunder to her.

One day in the middle of school, Dulce Maria started throwing up. She complained of a stomachache for the next day and a half before Lizzy convinced Charlie that taking her to the ER was the best choice. She ended up hospitalized and needing an appendectomy. Everything went well and she made a full and quick recovery.

Knowing how hard handling four toddlers by herself must be, Charlie agreed. They ended up hiring a young woman, Ellie Clark, to help. When she turned out to be a huge help, they asked her to move in.

One day, Lizzy got a call from the police. Dulce Maria got caught shoplifting. She had been out with her friends when one of them dared her to steal something. They told her that it was easy, that they did it all the time, but she had never done anything like it before. When she failed, her so-called friends laughed at her. Lizzy picked her up and Dulce Maria sobbed about how she needed new friends. Lizzy had to agree.

Now that the quads are five, Lizzy and Charlie started considering having more kids. Rather than trying for a natural birth again, they chose adoption. Lizzy found out that while she and Charlie had been unsuccessfully trying to get pregnant again, back before the quads were born, Charlie started up an affair with a woman he worked with. Even after the quads were born and they adopted Denny, he continued the affair. Lizzy divorced him immediately. Charlie ended up moving to Washington with his girlfriend.

It took Lizzy awhile to find a new job after divorcing Charlie. Having been out of the job field for over a decade, not very many people wanted to hire her. So, she started taking some night classes, using the money she made from her side gig as a wedding singer to pay for them while Charlie's alimony covered housing, groceries, and Ellie's salary. Eventually, she found a position as a paralegal once more, at a small attorney's office doing mostly pro bono work.

In her second year at culinary school, Meagan started dating a young man she met on accident. She got caught in the rain and ducked in to a nearby church where he was studying with a group from his seminary. They welcomed her in and helped her get warm, letting her stay until the rain let up. The two of them really hit it off. He asked her out as she left.
Finn also started dating. He and his girlfriend met in one of their gen ed classes. She sat next to him on their first day of class and they really hit it off. They started hanging out after that and their friendship quickly evolved into something romantic.
While her younger siblings have started dating, Dulce Maria stopped. She and Evanna got into a huge fight and broke up. She ended up moving back in with her parents while Evanna kept their apartment. Fortunately, Vienna had moved out, leaving enough space for Dulce Maria's return.
Chandler started begging his moms for a pet that was all his own. Lizzy and Dashae didn't trust him to take care of anything that would require too much care, so they settled for buying him a goldfish. He named it Sebastian.

Dulce Maria started dating again this year. She met her new boyfriend at a coffee shop. He was leaving, she was coming. They bumped into each other, exactly like what happens in the movies. Killian was very nice to her, helping her pick up the things she dropped, and the rest was history.
Howell ended up breaking his foot. He was helping Meagan move into his apartment when one of his buddies dropped a heavy box on his toes. Meagan was glad that she had moved in at that point so she could help him get around.
Finn decided to switch his majors. Rather than studying computer science, he chose to study computer animation. He had always had thing for drawing and found the classes more engaging.
Lizzy had been feeling nauseous for awhile. At first she ignored it, but eventually, she found herself with a lot of pain as well. She went to the ER where they admitted her for gallstones. She spent a couple days there, while they removed her gallbladder.

Shortly after Dulce Maria and Killian moved in together, he lost his job. He'd started having some issues with his coworkers. He started looking for a replacement job immediately. He wound up taking a job working a grocery store.
Meagan and Howell got engaged and shortly after Meagan announced her pregnancy. A lot of Howell's fellow seminarians were surprised, but Howell assured Meagan that his church and his beliefs were a lot more modern. They had a baby girl they named Eloise.
Much to their surprise, Finn and Ophelia ended up having a baby themselves. Their little girl was born shortly before her cousin Eloise, older by just a week. Finn appreciated it, honestly, knowing that his older sister would be going through the same things he was.
Dashae's mother ended up moving in with them. Adrianetta Guilbeaux needed a place to stay and wanted to get to know her daughter's stepchildren. So far, she's been a welcome addition to the family.

One day in the middle of school, Dulce Maria started throwing up. In her second year at culinary school, Meagan started dating a young man she met on accident. She got caught in the rain and ducked in to a nearby church where he was studying with a group from his seminary. They welcomed her in and helped her get warm, letting her stay until the rain let up. The two of them really hit it off. He asked her out as she left.
Finn also started dating. He and his girlfriend met in one of their gen ed classes. She sat next to him on their first day of class and they really hit it off. They started hanging out after that and their friendship quickly evolved into something romantic.
While her younger siblings have started dating, Dulce Maria stopped. She and Evanna got into a huge fight and broke up. She ended up moving back in with her parents while Evanna kept their apartment. Fortunately, Vienna had moved out, leaving enough space for Dulce Maria's return.
Chandler started begging his moms for a pet that was all his own. Lizzy and Dashae didn't trust him to take care of anything that would require too much care, so they settled for buying him a goldfish. He named it Sebastian.

Dulce Maria started dating again this year. She met her new boyfriend at a coffee shop. He was leaving, she was coming. They bumped into each other, exactly like what happens in the movies. Killian was very nice to her, helping her pick up the things she dropped, and the rest was history.
Howell ended up breaking his foot. He was helping Meagan move into his apartment when one of his buddies dropped a heavy box on his toes. Meagan was glad that she had moved in at that point so she could help him get around.
Finn decided to switch his majors. Rather than studying computer science, he chose to study computer animation. He had always had thing for drawing and found the classes more engaging.
Lizzy had been feeling nauseous for awhile. At first she ignored it, but eventually, she found herself with a lot of pain as well. She went to the ER where they admitted her for gallstones. She spent a couple days there, while they removed her gallbladder.

Shortly after Dulce Maria and Killian moved in together, he lost his job. He'd started having some issues with his coworkers. He started looking for a replacement job immediately. He wound up taking a job working a grocery store.
Meagan and Howell got engaged and shortly after Meagan announced her pregnancy. A lot of Howell's fellow seminarians were surprised, but Howell assured Meagan that his church and his beliefs were a lot more modern. They had a baby girl they named Eloise.
Much to their surprise, Finn and Ophelia ended up having a baby themselves. Their little girl was born shortly before her cousin Eloise, older by just a week. Finn appreciated it, honestly, knowing that his older sister would be going through the same things he was.
Dashae's mother ended up moving in with them. Adrianetta Guilbeaux needed a place to stay and wanted to get to know her daughter's stepchildren. So far, she's been a welcome addition to the family.
