It's Emma and Emmett for parents who want a unisex name (I'd prefer Emery for that purpose).
Or it's for parents who like Thoreau but think the literary connection's too obvious or nerdy.
Or it's for parents who like Addison / Madison but think those are too trendy or dated.
It's okay. It seems unisex (like most surnames) to me, but I'd guess eventually it'll be used more for girls.
I'd prefer Emrik for boys.
