I love Minna. I first came across it in a book character maybe ten, twelve years ago, and just thought it was lovely. Unusual but easy to say/spell in English, and a refreshing alternative to the Mila/Mina names. It wasn't until recently that I discovered its meaning, which makes it even better. What a beautiful name to have in your family tree and to remember.
Frida/Frieda is more tied to Frida Kahlo for me, which isn't a bad thing, it just is a hard association to shake. Perfectly usable though.
My go-to combo for Minna fluctuates between Minna Rosalind and Minna Rosamund. I think they sound equally nice, but I can't tell if I like the look of the repeating "in" element or the repeating "m" more.
