[Opinions] Amaya
Thoughts? It means "night rain" in Arabic and "the end" in Basque.

It’s nice. A bit trendy, but nice. The Basque meaning is a tad strange, though

I quite like it. I'd never consider it, but would enjoy seeing it used.

My neighbours have a little girl named Amaya, so I hear the name a lot haha. It's fine, not something I'd leap to use but inoffensive.

I think it sounds flimsy and quite childish, I prefer Maia or Maja. It doesn't mean "night rain" in Arabic.

I think it's sweet and pretty, but A names for girls are so common these days (and rightly so, I love A names on girls) that Amaya might get lost amongst the Amelias, Amalies, Arias, Aylas, etc, as well as being confused with the Mayas, Maias and Mias. That doesn't make it unusable, just something to consider =)

It's okay, pretty but it does sound like "am I a?" Like if the combo was Amaya Rose, it would sound like Am I A Rose?

It doesn't mean "night rain", that is a fake meaning that has been circulating all over the internet. I think many parents choose it for its fake meaning. It is simply a form of Amaia and means "the end". It is okay. I dislike the meaning and it sounds just like Maia with an A squeezed in front of it. It is kind of bland and will sound dated. But it is not horrible.
