[Opinions] Re: Lots of twins & new babies
in reply to a message by Bex
The only names I actively dislike from the twins are Stuart and Josh. I also think Kay is a little dated. Other than that, none of the twinsets are exactly my style but I think they're all good for twins. None of them are overly matchy-matchy but all of them match well enough that none of them clash (except maybe Emily & Stuart. Even though I don't like Josh I have to admit it does fit with Ben, it's juat that Ben could have fit with a lot of other names). Aria & Isla - short, sweet, pretty, can age well.
Alice & Penny - also short and sweet; normally don't like Penny but it works here. Makes me think "Alice in Wonderland" and "penny dreadfuls", so the twinset is like... cute-historical style.
John & Connor - boring but nothing's wrong with it
Emily & Stuart - nah
Kay & Lia - honestly I don't think they really fit. They still don't clash, but Kay looks older than Lia. Kay & Leah or Kei & Lia would have been better.
Ben & Josh - Ben deserves better than this
Eva & Iona - I really like Iona and this is a cool twinset, short and simple but also has a more mature historical feel.
Lola & Malena - I like Malena too. This sounds more 'southern' maybe? Andi Lee - Nah, sounds like a celebrity name. And Andi is a dated type of nickname/spelling.
Angus Gordon - I don't like these names but they do fit together well. I can't picture it on a baby, but I can picture it on someone's eccentric uncle from the country.
Elizabeth Paige "Ellie" & Isabella Kate "Bella" are very matchy. 4 syllable form of Elizabeth + 1 syllable slightly dated middle name + internally rhyming trendy nicknames... now THIS is an overly matchy twinset.
