I like both Adelaide and Ada. Adelaide and Ada were names I considered for my own daughter.
I think Ada can work as a nn for Adelaide but Ada can definitely stand alone.
Sure, some people will think they hear Ava but once corrected will get the name is Ada. If you really like the name, I wouldn’t let the popularity of the name Ava stop you from using it.
I prefer Adelaide Mary Jann and Adelaide Claire Annette. Between those two I like Adelaide Claire Annette.
