[Opinions] Re: Holden for a Girl
in reply to a message by Cake or Death
There was and perhaps still is an Australian version of, I think, Ford cars called Holden - you will know, Cake - you lived in Oz for a while, didn't you? They were sold in South Africa for a while and I've got a vague impression of something large and clunky. And even that seems odd, because it sounds like 'holding' ... and no nn possibilities that I can think of, so the girl would either go by her name and nothing else or be called Popsy or Sunshine. Not an idea that appeals! Though people do use car names for humans sometimes, and vice versa: Lexus on a female is daft, but a name like Mercedes can be human or vehicle quite comfortably. Not Holden, though.
