Where I live, there's a range of adult female clothing called Miss Cassidy, which is made for largeish ladies who want to look at least somewhat fashionable. So that doesn't help; nor does Hopalong!
I knew a Cassie a long time ago, and she was very elderly then: in her case it was a nn for Catherine; the closest she could get to her name when she was a tiny child.
