Seriously, every Amanda I know is Amanda.

I do know two women called Mandeep but they are never Mandy either.

I like Amanda. It is dated but if it came back I wouldn't bat an eyelid.

I did know a Mandy whose full name was Miranda.

I knew an Amanda who had gone by Mandy as a child and was still called Mandy by her family, but everyone else called her Amanda. I'm not getting the Mandy hate, just as I don't get the Vicky hate. I think Mandy is a cute nickname.

Mandy is adorable. I like it better than Amanda.

Vicky reminds me of the stepmother in "Parent Trap," vapid and calculating. The women named Victoria that I know either used Tori as a nickname or just used the full thing.

Most Victoria's are Vicky here. Tory is a short form for Conservative party, far too political!
