As in Aravis Tarkheena: Aravis is a main character in C.S. Lewis' The Horse and his Boy. She is a Tarkheena, a female member of the ruling class of the fictional empire of Calormen, located far to the south of Narnia.

The Aravis (French: Chaîne des Aravis) is a mountain range in Haute-Savoie, eastern France. It is part of the French Prealps, a lower chain of mountain ranges west of the main chain of the Alps. Its highest summit is the Pointe Percée, at 2752m. The orientation of the Aravis is north-south, and it stretches from Cluses in the north, to Ugine in the south. I think its a great name for a girl... mainly because I loved reading about her in the Horse and His Boy and she was an excellent character!
