[Opinions] Gladys, Vivian, Ira, and Jotham
I've been watching some 1930s movies lately, and Gladys has really caught my fancy. It's just very sweet and I love the -ys ending.Vivian is the name of the security guard where I work and it's really growing on me for a girl. It makes me think of the color purple - the actual color, not the book or movie.I've heard Ira is an old man's name, but I don't know any old men by that name. To me it sounds fresh and hip. I've noticed it's just remade the US Top 1000 after a long absence. Jotham is another cool biblical name. I mostly just like how it rhymes with Gotham, sine I'm a Batman fan.Anyway, WDYT? Would they make a good sibset? Would Gladys and Ira sound too old as a sibset?Do Vivian and Jotham pair up well?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I like Gladys best. Then Ira, Vivian, and Jotham. Not a good sibset imo, but they don't have to match

You know, around the time I joined this site I really liked the combo Gladys Emily. I thought it was a perfect combination of old and new. I still find Gladys to be a very cheerful name - I mean "glad" is right there!Vivian is gorgeous, though I'm more partial to Vivienne (particularly as a first name). Can't say I'm a fan of Ira (makes me think of Iris and Irene, which are feminine names) or Jotham, though. Sorry.

I've always liked Ira.

Gladys, Vivian, Ira, and Jotham all go well together. I don't think they sound too old at all. I especially like the name Vivian, but spelled Vivien.

I like Vivienne and Jotham. Not sure about the other 2. I prefer Glenys or Glenyse to Gladys, same ending, or Carys

I love this sibset!Gladys and Ira sound old, but in a cool vintage way. I agree with you about Ira, it sounds very fashionable to me.I have never heard of Jotham before. I first thought the J was pronounced as a Y. Not sure how I feel about this name (though love the Gotham thing!) but it goes well with Vivian, Gladys, and Ira.
