[Opinions] Suri

I think it has a cutesy exotic or old-fashioned vibe similar to how Sukie does.
Unlike Sukie, I feel like I have to use a sing-song tone just to pronounce Suri, which is irritating.
If I knew a nonfamous person named Suri, I'm sure I'd forget about Suri Cruise, but I don't.

I like how it looks, but I don't like how Surrey looks, or sounds, and that's how I would say it in my accent. Soo-ree is pretty, and if I met a Suri who pronounced it that way I'd go along with it, but it doesn't come natural to me.
I do find it tied to Suri Cruise but I could also see it establishing roots as a more mainstream name.

I think it probably is too associated with Suri Cruise; I mean, who'd heard of it as a name till she came along? It also sounds to me like some tiny foreign car or maybe a new kind of Japanese food.
I hated it the minute they announced it. It reminds me of “the Surrey with the Fringe on Top”. It also takes a very special name ending in an “ee” sound to convince me it will age well, and I’m not quite there with Suri.
Suri Cruise hasn’t done anything in her life (yet) to call negative attention to herself, and yet the name is still distinctive enough to be linked to her. Just for existing. And honestly, that’s because most people thought the name was pretty weird (and her parents’ antics, but most people don’t know the names of other kooky celebrities’ kids off the top of their head). I know it’s a name with a lot of history, but I feel like that history has been lost in favour of the more common, usable Sarah.

I remember all kinds of jokes about it when she was born. Maybe it was only because people missed making fun of Apple Martin’s name since it had been a couple of years, but people definitely called it weird.
Yeah, it's not commonly selected but it follows many fashion trends.
I think it's too tied to Suri Cruise. It would just seem like celeb worship to use it, or that's what I'd think. Aside from the celeb associations, the name also makes me think of urine.

I love the name Suri! I definitely think of Suri Cruise. Thankfully she's a pretty normal kid and hasn't done anything to "tarnish" the name so to speak.
I'm lost on middle names for it.
Suri Antonina
Suri Eloisa
Suri Isabella
Suri Alice
Suri Estella
Suri Matilda
Suri Elena
Suri Gwendolen
Suri Alexandra
Suri Evelyn
