James is still working as an ER doctor, and Katia has happily become a nurse in the same hospital. With most of the kids out of the house, they've found more time for themselves, with James spending a lot of it golfing and Katia spending it gardening.
Adam is now an accountant, a husband, and a new dad. His wife, Vivienne Alice Winters, is a nurse, and their newborn daughter, Cassandra Giselle, is their whole world.
David is on the pre-med track at the University of Toronto, and is also working towards a minor in Russian Language and Literature. When he's not studying, he can usually be found playing intramural hockey.
Vika is studying at UWaterloo to get her degree in Digital Communication and Media, and has also joined their figure skating team.
Tasha is at Ryerson University in Toronto majoring in Education. She also joined their figure skating team, so the friendly rivalry with Vika they've had since they were five is alive and well.
Zhanna began competing in gymnastics soon after she arrived in Barrie. Her coach was Russian so being in the gym was much less nerve-wracking for her than being in school, where her teachers didn't speak her primary language. She is currently training as an Olympic-hopeful, but is also attending Central Michigan University this year, on a gymnastics scholarship, where she is planning to double major in athletic training and dietetics.
Zach currently has a part-time job at the local animal shelter, and plans to study animal science in undergrad and then go on to vet school and eventually become a veterinarian.
