I went through the phase of disliking and it could be because I was one of many Jessica's in school (shoutout 90s babies) and wanted a name that was less common or wanted a more 'unique' name. Fast forward, 10+ years later, I like it now but go 90% of the time by Jess and never Jessie (I'm not a Jessie.)
