I had a good friend at school named Evelyn, but always known as Eve; plus an aunt named Eva who was occasionally called Eve. So that warmed me up to it. OTOH, I dislike Lily, Lilian etc - all its forms, really - so Lilith never stood a chance.

Don't mind the myth at all! She was an interesting character; pity more isn't known about her.
