Help[Opinions] New twin boys - opinions?
Six weeks old, so born at the end of 2019: Adam Alexander and Charlie Alastair.
I don't know where the fns came from, but the identical-but-different mns were specially chosen. I don't know either if the boys are identical or fraternal.
The mns don't bug me, but using Charlie instead of Charles certainly does! Parents are English-speaking South Africans.

I like both combos a lot, but the middle names bother me.

Adam = fresh and young. NMS, but a good choice.
Alexander = normal and common. NMS, but not an unexpected choice.
Charlie = awful and even worse that Charles. Bad choice.
Alastair = another form of Alexander, which means the 2 boys effectively have the same middle name. A weird choice because of this, but it's by far the best name of the lot.

It really bugs me that there are 3 “A” names and Charlie.
Like, it would be much more aesthetically pleasing to me if they would have done Adam Alexander and A____ Alastair.
Other than that... Adam is fine, Alexander is fine, Alastair is fine, if a bit persnickety and snobbish, and Charlie is just dumb as a full name.

Seems to be a trend in the UK, having NN as full names, I like the idea of the middle names. I think Alexander and Charles would have been better and I think having different initials is good

Yeah I thought Charlie as a full name was a very UK thing. I didn't know if that was a trend elsewhere though.

Australia has lots of Charlie's here too, mainly girls though

And I can see the point of people naming their children what they plan on calling them.
My boys have often asked me why we didn’t just name their sister Gracie, since thats what we have called her since birth, as opposed to Grace.
My reasoning is that Grace sounds better as a name, and if she decides to when she is older, has Grace as an option instead of Gracie.
But, I do see their point. I just don’t like it. Lol

I low-key hate Charles, so I don't mind substituting Charlie for it. I only hate Charlie when it's a NN for Charlotte.
The nearly identical MNs do bug me, but at least they were intentional.
Adam is nice...sounds dated in the US, but I still like it, seems friendly and grounded.
