[Opinions] Juno (Girl)
Hi! I was wondering what anyone thought of the name Juno for a girl? I was hoping to use it for a character but now that I have been using it for a while it doesn't quite feel right. She has long, stick-straight blonde hair and brown eyes. She is 20-years old and lives in San Francisco, California. I would like to give her a short, tomboyish name or a long feminine name with a boyish nickname. If you dont think Juno fits please suggest others.

I think it's very pretty and summery sounding. I also like Juniper. However, I definitely don't think it sounds tomboyish. How about Theodora, Theodosia, or Theophania "Theo"?

Juno reminds me of the film, so while I think it's a great name for a child. I'd probably avoid it for a character. Juno doesn't sound in any way boyish to me, so if that is what you are going for I am not sure it works. Kay / Kai

Juno is pretty good, but it just reminds me that I like Hera more. Neither seem to fit the boyish thing though. Ayden

Juno was the title character in a film of the same name. It's not a film on the level of Harry Potter (the Hermione example again) but you might want to be aware that exists and perhaps differentiate your character a bit from that one (if you continue with Juno). I can't suggest much on that I'm afraid because I saw it once when it first came out and didn't like it. Was 15 years ago or so now so I can't remember much at all.Tomboyish nicknames with long feminine names;Catherine / Katie or KateFrancesca or Francine / Frankie or FranGeorgina or Georgia / George or Gerogie Wilhelmina or Willow / Billie Cassandra or Cassidy / CassyKimberly / Kim or KimmyElizabeth / Lizzie or ElizaNichola or Nichole / Nicky or NikkiHarriet / HarryJacqueline / Jack or JackieDanielle / Dan or DannyFrederica / Fred or FreddieMelody or Malanie or Melissa / Mel

Juno is a 00s indie hit film. I think that character would overshadow future fictional characters, making the name seem less original than it used to.Antonia "Tony"
Artemisia "Artie" "Artem" "Tim"
Benedicta "Ned" or "Ben"
Christobel "Toby" ...I think I'd go with this one based on the limited info.
