[Opinions] Dannah
A girl I met the other day was named Dannah... WDYT? (it's pronoused like Hannah but with a D)

The H irritates me...(m)
It has no need to be there; Danna would get the pronunciation across just fine, IMO. :)
I really rather like it, actually. It'd be a nice alternative of Danielle, as far as feminine forms of Dan/Daniel go.
In theory, I also like Dana on a boy pronunced the same way. A cousin of my mother is a boy Dana-rhymes-with-Hannah.

You might even provide a Heaven for them. We need You for that. Hell we can make for ourselves.

I don't care for it. Seems made up. Why do people feel the need to make up names when there so many wonderful "legitimate" names out there?

I prefer Hannah too.
Like it - it's softer than Dana
Some of the other responders mention Dana, but I have always felt Dana has a harsh sound. Dana can also be a man's name, and I dislike gender-neutral names for the most part. I think Dannah is fine; I also like Danica.

It's pretty. Danna (sometimes called Danu) was a Celtic goddess and it's on my faves list. I'm not sure about the spelling Dannah though. It does look good, but it's too reminiscent of Hannah, which I find distracting.

I LOVE it! The origin is Celtic, the name means "From Denmark" or "Mother Of The Gods" in ancient myths.
I actually kind of like it.

What a horrible harsh sounding name. Dana would be nicer sounding.

lmao, I just finished watching Memoirs of a Geisha and, in the movie at least, it says that a "danna" is... well, to put it simply a danna is a Geisha's "sugar daddy". He takes care of her in exchange for her mere presence, though, of course, a closer relationship is implied.
