[Opinions] Gioia or Gemma?
Hi !!!Two Italian feminine names starting with G, both with a double meaning. Gioia (JO-ya) means 'joy' but also 'jewel'.Gemma (JEM-ma) means 'gemstone' but also 'bud, sprout'.WDYTO them?

I like both, but prefer Gioia.

I imagine Gemma as a British socialite...sister could be: Saffron, Poppy, Florence, Isla, Margot. It's sparkly but also dull, maybe because it sounds similar to Emma and Jim.I like Gioia. It's bubbly.

I love Gemma and would use it.
I agree with the way ari feels about it.
Gioia seems more expansive, and more expensive. I like it, but not as a favorite.

Gioia is ok, but I love Gemma and would consider using it if I enough daughters (there are many other names I'd want use first).

I'm not fond of Gioia. While it does have a nice meaning, I find it quite boring, as I do Joy.
Gemma, on the other hand, is lovely - brassy and full of sunshine.

I love Gemma, and would use it. love the meaning of Gioia but wouldnt use it - would just prefer Joy or Leticia
