Boy, or girl? What do you think of it? **Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

Masculine, and I think it's too River.

I’m going to say boy, but I think it still works for a girl. I like it, but I don’t know if I have the guts to use it in real life.

Boy. And I like it

In a word, awful. Not even slightly human; of course that doesn't stop people from using it but then it seems best suited to the kind of film actor (m or f, it hardly matters) who needs a conspicuous name in order to be noticed.

back in the day, like 10 years ago, I liked The combo Draven Phoenix, But them My taste have changed, it is partly because my cousin named his Son Draven, and I still think its ok, but phoenix grates on me now, Although I like the mythological bird association I still Kind of like Griffin although I need to study names more
I like your butterscotch clouds and tangerine starfish-the words are a bit poetic,

I seem to be one of few people who sees this mainly as feminine. In my experience, most people think of "River" when you say Phoenix (even before Joaquin, who's still around and just played the Joker). But I don't know... something about the sound reminds me of Stevie Nicks, almost. It's odd.I didn't even think of the city in Arizona until I read other comments.Phoenix is a GP of mine. I like Phoenix, Kestrel, and Robin all as feminine names, though Robin is the most unisex for me (thanks to Robin Hood and Robin Williams).

Boy, for sure. It’s one of those names I’m not sure why I like it, because it doesn’t fit any of my “requirements “ of names I generally like.
But, I do.
I have several lifelong friends living in Phoenix, AZ, so it would be weird if I ever used it, because that’s what I would probably be thinking of.
I would think it was kind if cute if I met a little boy with the name.

I like it as a name - although not as a favorite, because I don't love the sound. It's a little bit sneezelike.I don't really have a preference for its gender. Either works about equally well IMO. I guess I'd expect a Phoenix to be slightly more likely to be a guy.

I think it's a little too stagey, and I think of the city in Arizona, but I can see the appeal. It's about the same to me as Griffin or Anastasia.

Boy, but only as a middle name.
