[Opinions] Ephraim
WDYT? I heard this name the other day and now it's stuck in my head. I'm currently infatuated with it but doubt it has any real staying power as one of my favorites. I've always heard it as two syllables but BtN also lists a three syllable pronunciation. How do you pronounce it and which pronunciation do you prefer?

I have mostly heard it as EF-rem or EF-ram, which is the pronounciation I like best as well. It's currently a favorite, but I like it a little better as a mn (only because I'd get peeved, and I'm sure my son would as well, at people butchering the pronunciation and spelling :-/).

It's my best friend's son's name so I hear/use that name almost everyday. We all say EF-rem.
I like it well enough; it's a little overly religious/biblical for my taste, but I like the sound and look of it. Most people find it very peculiar upon hearing it the first time. I've done a lot of defending of that name.
