There is a famous female French politician named Ségolène Royal. I think it is an interesting name. She was originally named Marie-Ségolène but has dropped the Marie.

The name is not in the database, maybe it is very uncommon even in France.

Very unusual name. I think that I like it! I'm very fond of accents, too, so of course this name appeals to me, lol. Is it pronounced 'say-goh-LEHN'?

As "SEH-go-LEN". Maybe many don't know how to pronounce it. But if Ségolène Royal becomes the next French prime minister, people will learn.
