[Opinions] WDYT of Lindsay? (girl)
This is one of my favorite names-I just think it's so pretty in sound and look. Has a bit of spunk too which I love. I know some people think it's an 80's/90's name but that doesn't bother me too much.So..opinions??

Funny you should ask, because my DH likes this name. He also likes Ashley/Ashleigh, Heather, and lots of other 80's names. He is English, and perhaps in the 80s a lot of names that evoke English countryside were invogue? Either way, Lindsay is pretty, but it reminds me too much of my SIL Linda, so I would not use it. I also prefer Rosalind.

It's rather nice. I like Lindsay much better on a girl over a boy.

I prefer the spelling Lindsay, I guess, but I am really not fond of this name at all. I just don't like the sound of it and I have bad associations as well.

I like the name Lindsay. I agree that it does seem like an 80s/90s name, but that doesn't bother me either. I like a lot of those names. Personally, though, I prefer the sp. Lyndsey or Lynsey.

I have three Lindsays in my college classes right now (80s children) and all of them spell it Lindsay. Lindsey with the E is a last name to me. It's a nice name, but not particularly a favorite of mine. I can see a 5year old and a 90 year old Lindsay :o) She won't have the same problems in her 90s as say...a kid named Candi would.

I love it, but prefer it spelled Lindsey.

Far too masculine for me.All the Lindsays I have known were men in their 40's, 50's and 60's.
