[Opinions] Liv & Ivy
Austrian musical theatre performers Lukas Perman and Marjan Shaki have two daughters, Ivy Su (just over a year old) and Liv (4, not sure of her middle name!) - what do you think of their names? Do you feel they're too short to go together?Still und geborgen, frei ohne Sorgenhttp://www.behindthename.com/pnl/185597

They really make a lovely sibset. Ivy isn't one of my favs, but Liv and Ivy look very well together, while sounding very different , to they're not too close for sibs. I also like the -v- in female names. I don't see how either Liv or Ivy would be too short, especially not Ivy since it has 2 syllables.

I knew a Liv once, she had Norwegian heritage. It's a name on its own there. I like Anne-Liv (AN-neh-leev) better, but I'm biased toward longer names. I like Ivy, and I like the idea of the plant, even though where I live it's an invasive weed.

Ivy is a lovely, complete name. Liv is a nickname, and smacks of the parents trying too hard to replicate the magic of their first child’s name but not quite succeeding

I think they're sweet, and I don't think they're too short. Su is horrid, though.

Not too short, but certainly too close in sound and spelling. As for the names themselves, I've never liked Ivy (the most annoying plant imaginable) and Liv might work as a nn for Olivia but on its own it doesn't.

I like Ivy but I feel Liv should be short for something and not an entire name. I'd have preferred Ivy and Olivia
