I like this name, and probably either spelling would be fine. I have a preference, though. I like Brittany much better. I think it flows better visually - the T crashes into the N in Britney and it feels a bit like a speedbump to me. I also think the historical/geographic tie-in with Brittany gives it some more class.

I like it okay. I sort of remember not liking it in the nineties but I can't be sure. It definitely had a short shelf life, but pretty soon it'll seem fresh again. I don't like it as much as Courtney or Whitney.
I guess Brittany, though I have seen and liked Brittney too.

Britney is awful. I hate Whitney, too.
Brittany has some appeal. Although I just think of it as an old fad name now. It's spiffy, like Britt is. I can picture it on a bright, professional woman. Trendier sister to Lauren, Renee, Meghan, or Nicole. NMS but not horrible.

I don't like place names, and nor do I enjoy dumbed-down spellings, so both versions get a Fail. Better than Bretagne, though!

Brittany is fine. It's a nice part of France and even though it is called Bretagne in French I like the connection. Brittany also looks fine to me, even though it is a bit girly/cheerleader-ish. I am not crazy about it because it used to be so common and seems a bit cutesy but it's fine on someone else or for someone elses child.Britney on the other hand reminds me only of Britney Spears and as it isn't spelled like the region it seems more unauthentic/trendy/dated.Overall I prefer Whitney which seems classier and less cheerleader-ish but Brittany is perfectly fine overall.

I dislike the Britney spelling. The letters “b”, “i”, “t”, and “e” jump out at me, so it may as well be “Bite-ney” or “Bite-me”. I associate Brittany as a place name and pronounce it as spelled, three syllables, unlike the other eyesore. Can’t say I’m fond of Brittany, but the only negative association is just having heard of too many bearers, of any spelling, for a while.

I don't like it, it sounds like a bratty 1970s teenager.

I'm afraid I don't like this name. Makes me think of some snobby high school teenager. :(
