[Opinions] Re: Kimber
I don't like it. I think it's because I've always disliked the sound and style (as I perceive it) of the name Kimberly (along with Courtney - its twin sister, in my mind) and I associate a negative stereotype with it. I don't know where it comes from because the first few Kimberlys I can remember knowing, I liked ok. Anyway Kimber, like Kimberly, sounds phoney-aristocratic-surname, and Kimber sounds excessively chipper ("a dog name"), and also seems dated to me.The sounds in Kimber seem annoying to me but strangely, the sounds in Kimbra don't. Kimbra sounds like a different name. I think of it as a more reasonable spelling of Kinborough, and a modern version of Cyneburga. Kimbra : Kimber :: Ashlin : Ashley- mirfak
