[Opinions] Foster for a girl
Just simply tell me what you think please. I like it personally.

Awful. On boys too.
Horrid. Reminds me of foster care.
Noooo. I don't like it for either a boy or girl.
I agree with what most people seem to think. Foster isn't the best name for a girl. Sorry...
Sorry, but I hate it on just about every level.
I hate surnames as first names to begin with, as I think it’s a trend that’s going to sound very dated in the future. But I especially hate them on girls.
But more than that, the name is loaded with the idea of a kid whose family can’t care for them for various reasons (death, being unfit), and who gets shuffled from place to place. Many kids do just fine, but the system often leads to neglect, abuse, self-esteem issues, and acting out.

It's bad enough for a male. It's ugly looking and sounding, and also the Swedish word for 'fetus'. Using it on a girl makes it a hundred times worse.
A foster daughter is one thing; a Foster daughter is quite another. Avoid!
Don't like it for a girl or boy
I don’t like it for boys either to be honest, reminds me of foster as in foster parents etc.
About as dumb and ugly you can get for a girl.
Still dumb on a boy. Foster? Really?
But on a girl? It’s simply hideous.

Horrible for a girl.
Oh, no, no, no, I don't like it at all. I don't love it for a boy but this is honestly one of the least suited boy names for girls I've ever heard suggested. Some names should not be unisex and this is one of them.
I don't think it's good.
Sorry ... I can see the appeal of how it sounds, sort of crisp and soft. It wouldn't shock me to see it used - it's not "that" bad. But to me it seems like it should be GP material.
I personally wouldn't like it, just because I don't generally care for the style (surname). That doesn't make it bad. But I like very few girl names in this style - Hunter is the only one that comes to mind straightaway.
The dictionary word has connotations (foster child). Not totally negative, but not shiny either. That's the main thing I think makes it less than great.
And the surname has associations, too: Fosters is a beer - "Fosters is Australian for 'beer'!" so the ads said.
Fosters Freeze, Foster & Smith, Foster & Lloyd - it seems catchy and trademarky.
And it sounds a tiny bit like "faster" ... gets a D- on the 'boom boom test.'
The pleasing sound doesn't compensate for all that. When I add it all up, the score is negative, in my view.

I honestly don’t even like it for a boy.
