I like it! I think it’s feisty, fun, and stands out (in a good way). I assume Billie Ellish would be a big association at the moment, but I first heard it on Billie Piper.

I've always really liked Billie for a girl. I like Billy for a boy too. Billie is one of those names that would suit a female of any age, from a little baby to an elderly lady.

I really like Billie for girl. I find it sweet

Honestly I think it's terrible. It sounds so stereotypical small-town to me. I'm generally not a fan of traditionally male nicknames with an "-ie" slapped on for girls (Billie, Bobbie, Randie, etc.)

It reminds me of Billie Jean or Billie Holiday. It’s cute but a bit nicknamey.

Love it as a nickname for Sybilla

I love it as a nn for Wilhelmina/ Willemina or Willow. On its own I don't hate it but I'd worry that my child might find it to be too cute or not enough of a name. Using it as a nn gives the child more options.

Better on a woman than a man, I suspect. It seems juvenile on a man but youthful on a woman, and I suppose I'm living in the past!

I never liked Billy for a boy - and definitely not for a man, even with a namesake like Billy the Kid (bada$$ Old West outlaw). It always seemed... childish. So I never even used to think about Billie for a girl / woman, despite namesakes such as Billie Holiday or Billie Jean King.

Maybe the actress Billie Piper (Rose Tyler on Doctor Who) had something to do with it. I also heard it used in a couple TV shows. But somehow... Billie as a feminine name became very palatable. Even cool. Now I have Billie Charlotte as a combo in my Top 10!

Billie Holiday and Billie Jean are in my mind. But these links are not enough to make it a good name. A nice nickname though.
